Field of Application
Protective element for machine tools in which components of the motor-spindle such as bearings, shaft, clamping system and transducer need to be protected from collision and overload-caused damages.
Description of Function
Overload protection in case of collision through all-round protection of the motor-spindle with subsequent repositioning. Automatic disconnection in case of exceeding holding forces. The defection of the motor-spindle can, depending on the type of collision, either happen through disengagement or pivoting in case of axial or radial collision, respectively. During the subsequent clearing of the motor-spindle after collision, the safety system is restored back to its initial center position precisely through springs and a self-centering separator .
